Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Data Planner to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient transport strategies that optimise logistics and supply chain operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport Planning: Develop and implement transport plans that meet the needs of the organisation while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Logistics Operations: Manage logistics operations, including route planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Data Analysis: Utilise Excel and other software tools to analyse data and generate reports on transport performance.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff within the transport department.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transport activities and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
- Process Review: Conduct regular reviews of transport processes to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Transport Planning Experience: Proven experience in transport planning or a related field, with a strong understanding of logistics principles.
- Computer Literacy: Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Knowledge of supply chain management practices is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
- Office Environment: Previous experience in an office environment is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Work Location: In person
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: £24,000.00 per year
