Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Advisor to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payrolls across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation and process.
Key Responsibilities- Process monthly payrolls accurately and within set quality standards and timescales.
- Complete RTI submissions for HMRC and ensure accurate and timely pension administration and auto-enrolment reporting.
- Manage payroll master data activities, including new starters and tax codes.
- Provide payroll data to stakeholders in an accurate and user-friendly format.
- Support the Payroll Manager and wider team as required.
- Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation and adherence to internal controls.
- Sound payroll experience, including managing multiple remote and complex payrolls, year-end processes, and tax changes.
- Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, and SMP, as well as RTI.
- Experience of using computerized time and attendance systems to populate payroll data and manual methods.
- Experience in delivering continuous improvements within the Payroll environment.
- Good Excel skills and a working knowledge of ELF Time and Attendance and Success Factors payroll systems.
- Able to build good working relationships across multiple areas, including Payroll, Group Pensions, and other GSC teams.
- Very well organized, with tight deadlines across multiple payrolls.
- Take ownership of Pensions data quality and seek ways to improve processes and outputs.
- Technically sound in all Payroll processes, including current legislation and regulatory requirements.
