About the Role
This position requires excellent organisational skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a collaborative approach to ensure optimal supply chain performance. Familiarity with systems like Sage 200 is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise Sage 200 to place and track orders, ensuring accurate and timely procurement processes.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives by sourcing competitive quotes and selecting suitable suppliers.
- Keep Project Leads informed of any delays or lead-time issues, ensuring clear communication on order statuses.
- Collaborate with the Project Team and Operations Manager to align on order progress and address potential issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Buyer (preferably an Engineering Buyer).
- Experience using SAGE 200 is highly advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills are essential for success in this role.
