Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at WuXi AppTec. As a key member of our Commercial Development team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in the area of Biologics, Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Biosafety and Characterization Testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate business opportunities and engage with clients to increase revenue for WuXi AppTec in the area of Biologics, CGT Biosafety and Characterization Testing.
- Manage a portfolio of regionally-managed accounts and develop strategic plans to grow revenue in the Advanced Therapies Business Unit (ATU).
- Represent the company and interact with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to capture them.
- Provide market analysis and insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technical advancements to ensure WuXi AppTec remains competitive.
Requirements:
- 7 or more years of relevant experience in business development, commercial development, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Life Sciences required; Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the CTDMO/CRO and biotech/biologics industries.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
