Job Summary
The Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Instructor in Automotive to join our team. As an Academic Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching programs in Automotive, aligned with the College's curriculum and quality standards.
- Assess and provide feedback to students on their progress, using a range of assessment methods to ensure accurate and fair evaluation.
- Contribute to the development and review of curriculum materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to industry needs.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the College's teaching and learning community, sharing best practices and ideas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies, enhancing the student experience and outcomes.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to undertake and gain the Certificate in Education and Training within 2 years of appointment.
- Have a minimum level 2 qualification in both English and Maths.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, adhering to the College's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Be able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- Work a 18.5-hour week, with actual hours to be agreed with the manager.
- Be required to attend the Corporate staff induction day, Teaching & Learning Induction, and additional mandatory courses during the probationary period.
- Be subject to the College's occupational pension scheme and annual leave policy.

- A competitive salary range of £23,538 to £37,664 per annum pro rata, with increments in August.
