Rural Insurance Specialist job details:

  • Responsible for the technical administration of all classes of insurance policies, ensuring seamless execution and accurate processing.
  • Key duties include technically administering new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, claims, queries, premium financing arrangements, and broking risks to insurers.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to support colleagues and drive outcomes for clients, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Execute business quickly and accurately, working on behalf of the client and liaising with Insurers as appropriate, keeping the client informed and updated at all stages.
  • Identify and act on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities in respect of insurance broking business to enhance the Company's offering to clients.
  • Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company's Conduct Policy and Guides to Best Practice.

Key skills required for success as a Rural Insurance Specialist:

  • Working knowledge within the insurance industry with understanding of a range of insurance products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy & numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Self-motivation, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Desirable skills:

  • Business or financial-related degree or qualification(s).
  • CII or other relevant qualifications.
  • Experience with Acturis.
  • Wide social interests.
