About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Modelling Senior Analyst to join our team at M&G. As a key member of our Risk Modelling team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining economic and market-related methods and assumptions used to value benefits and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quantitative models to assess market and credit risks, including data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Refresh and maintain Solvency II Matching Adjustment policies and perform compliance and monitoring exercises.
  • Maintain the methodology for valuing M&G's lifetime mortgage business in base and stressed conditions.
  • Develop and implement new risk models, including research, testing, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Produce regular market data packs and deliver accurate and timely reports to end users.
  • Refresh Solvency II Pillar 1 Group-wide Operating Standards for the production of Solvency II Own Funds and regulatory capital.
  • Support other asset-related reviews and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in a quantitative subject, such as mathematics, computer science, or actuarial science.
  • 3+ years' experience in quantitative modelling in the insurance, banking, or asset management industry.
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and multiple assets.
  • Good understanding of statistics and statistical methods, including stochastic simulation and VaR methodology.
  • Good practical experience of development in Python or C++.
  • Ability to implement novel technical solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in pressured environments and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Experience of developing working relationships with key stakeholders and presenting findings and results.
