About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 5 Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator for the Healthy Pregnancy Support Service (HPSS).

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of our services, providing support and leadership to our Healthy Pregnancy Advisors, and managing their own caseload of women.

This is a full-time post with work hours between Monday and Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Main Duties
  • Monitor the quality of our service using an agreed competency assessment framework and identify actions to continuously improve the service in line with key performance indicators.
  • Work with the team lead to identify the location of HPSS practitioners in key areas based on public health intelligence.
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance to maternity staff, including in relation to carbon monoxide testing.
  • Liaise, communicate, and work in partnership with other key agencies to provide ongoing stop smoking support across the County.
  • Hold a caseload of women and provide and oversee a vaccination service.

  • FULL UK PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION AS BAND 5 NURSE
  • A team player who demonstrates the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower others to build rapport and achieve best practice.
  • Able to prioritize, show effective organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
