Job Description

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Senior Manager to join our team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in leading the disposal of surplus land and property from the HS2 managed portfolio, ensuring operational objectives are supported and best value is achieved.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage and lead the approach to asset disposal, oversee appraisals and evaluations, and work closely with senior property management surveyors to agree management strategies for assets selected for disposal. Furthermore, they will be responsible for taking all proposed disposals through HS2 and DfT governance, obtaining formal approvals for sale while adhering to statutory and policy requirements.

This role requires a Chartered Surveyor (or equivalent) with knowledge of dealing with all aspects of valuation, property disposal, and programme management. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess an understanding of legal obligations related to property disposal, including the compulsory purchase process or other government compensation schemes. Training will be provided to support the chosen candidate's development in this area.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around £75,000-£90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
  1. A Chartered Surveyor (or equivalent) qualification.
  2. Proven experience in property disposal, valuation, and programme management.
  3. An understanding of legal obligations related to property disposal.
