About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Linguistics Graduate to join our team as a full-time Linguistics Support Specialist. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about language development and keen to support students in overcoming barriers to communication and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, focusing on language development and communication skills.
  • Assist children with diverse learning needs, including those with speech and language challenges.
  • Work in the SEN department under the supervision of the SENDCo and Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities to boost literacy and phonics development.

Requirements:

  • First-Class or 2:1 Linguistics-related degree from a Top 20 UK university.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
  • Ideal role for an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £21,000 - £26,250 per year, paid weekly on a PAYE basis. Our school is based in central Tower Hamlets, at a well-connected location with a supportive team dedicated to enriching children's learning during a pivotal stage of their education.
