About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our client's team in South East London.

The ideal candidate will have experience installing and maintaining IT networks, hardware and software, as well as holding a Full UK driving license.

This is a field-based role, where you will be responsible for connecting, commissioning and maintaining the parking and access control equipment for the company.

You will work with various technologies, including IT hardware/software, Network devices, EV charging and other access control devices. The company will provide training on the specific products used in the role.

About You
  • You must have previous experience in a field-based role.
  • You must have experience with IT hardware maintenance, software installation, MS Server, VM and SQL.
  • You must have experience with PCs, routers and networking environments.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and maintain IT networks, hardware and software.
  2. Work with PCs, routers and networking environments.
  3. Operate and maintain access devices, including flashing firmware and using hand tools.
  4. Maintain a personal inventory of parts, materials and consumables.
  5. Identify and order replacement parts and equipment.
  6. Document job activities, progress and completion status on company systems.
  7. Provide customer hardware and software training remotely.
Requirements
  • A Full UK driving license is necessary.
  • You must live locally and be willing to work in and around South London.
  • You must have field service or commissioning experience.
  • You must have experience with installing and maintaining CCTV systems.
  • You must have knowledge of network infrastructure and TCP/IP.
  • You must have knowledge of electrical principles and safety.
Desired Requirements
  • City & Guilds; ONC /HNC; BTec or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • COMPTIA +
  • ANPR installation and maintenance knowledge.
  • Parking Access Equipment installation and maintenance.
  • EV Charging.
  • Internal and External Fibre Optic experience.
