Support Line Officer

As a Support Line Officer at Marie Curie UK, you will be part of a dedicated team providing essential support to individuals and families affected by terminal illness. This role is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives and contribute to our mission of delivering quality care and support.
About the Role:
- Respond to a wide range of enquiries from individuals affected by terminal illness, as well as their families, friends, or professionals.
- Utilise Marie Curie's resources and other trusted sources to address enquiries, gather information, and direct individuals to the support they require.
- Apply safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals contacting the helpline.
- Accurately record information into the database, adhering to data quality and protection guidelines.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring approach.
- A genuine interest in helping others, with patience, adaptability, and a strong customer service ethos.
- Ability to deliver a professional service, even in challenging situations.
- Background in office administration, charity, health, or social care, or demonstrable customer service experience.
- Experience in a customer care or helpline role is highly beneficial.
