About the Role
Achieving for Children is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. As a Social Worker, you will work with children and young people who have significant and profound disabilities, providing specialist support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities, identifying areas where specialist support is required.
- Develop and implement care plans to ensure the needs of children and young people are met, working closely with families, schools, and other agencies.
- Provide direct support to children and young people, using a range of methods to communicate and engage with them.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health and education teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people.
- Contribute to the development of the Children with Disabilities Team, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve services and outcomes for children and young people.
About You
We are looking for a Social Worker who is passionate about working with children and young people with disabilities. You will have a Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have experience of working with children and young people with complex needs. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your skills and experience to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
