About the Role:

The University of Cambridge Estates Division is seeking a skilled Plumber to join their Mechanical Maintenance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational estate and carrying out minor refurbishments, alterations, and planned preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out repairs and alterations to the estate, both internally and externally, within a maintenance context.
  • Undertaking routine and reactive tasks to ensure facilities are readily available for University staff.
  • Repairing and upgrading toilets, basins, showers, and completing pipe work repairs to hot and cold water, and small-scale heating services.
  • Working individually or as part of a small team of fitters and assistants, and occasionally with specialist contractors, to repair and refurbish building services.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified Plumber with a strong background in plumbing and heating, and experience in fault diagnostics and repairs. You should have a clear understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work in a commercial setting.
