We are recruiting for an experienced Theatre Practitioner Assistant to join our high-performing theatre team at Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield. As an Assistant Theatre Practitioner, you will provide skilled assistance to surgeons in the operating theatre scrub role, working on a variety of cases under the supervision of a registered perioperative practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining all necessary instrumentation and equipment for procedures
  • Positioning and connecting equipment as required by the scrub team
  • Ensuring proficiency with equipment before use
  • Preparing sterile trolleys and ensuring correct instrumentation
  • Assisting with surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving procedures

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification as an Associated Theatre Practitioner (ATP)
  • Mandatory training requirements, including infection control and health and safety competencies
  • Flexible working within shift duties
