Carrington West's clients seek an experienced professional to lead their Land and Property team. This team is responsible for acquiring and managing land and property for HS2, ensuring efficient construction while respecting those impacted. The team also focuses on disposing of surplus land and property to maximize value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with HS2's managing agent to appraise assets for sale, identifying optimal sales timing and methods.
  • Work with Senior Property Management Surveyors to develop asset management strategies.
  • Pursue proposed disposals through HS2 and DfT governance channels, obtaining necessary approvals while adhering to statutory and policy requirements.
  • Lead the instruction and management of relevant suppliers, including valuation surveyors and estate agents, to guarantee high service levels under agreed contractual terms.
  • Partner with internal finance teams to handle receipts, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Chartered Surveyor or equivalent qualification with expertise in valuation, property disposal, and programme management.
  • Knowledge of legal obligations concerning property disposal, particularly compulsory powers.
  • Understanding of the compulsory purchase process or government compensation schemes.

This position offers a salary range of £76,500 - £94,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
