Job Advert:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst Specialist to join our team at Meridian Business Support for a 6-month term. This role will primarily involve general office work within a fast-paced finance environment, supporting key financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Support month-end financial processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure financial accuracy and compliance, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Perform general office administration as required, providing administrative support to the finance team.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in NHS finance, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Part-qualified accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, etc.), with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
