At WSP UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Engineer to join our Liveable Places team in Southampton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and manage project teams and individuals, working closely with our clients to achieve their sustainable transport needs.

The successful candidate will have significant traffic engineering experience, with a strong track record of working on a wide range of projects, including traffic signals design and modelling.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing reports, drawings, schedules, and other documents in accordance with local procedures and guidance.

You will also be responsible for the financial performance of projects and will work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team and our colleagues in the wider Transport team and the wider WSP business to achieve our aims and objectives.

Key qualifications for this role include a civil engineering degree or equivalent, membership of a relevant professional body, and obtained or working towards Chartered Engineer Professional status.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to prioritise, achieve deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.

Good spoken and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to liaise with others including public sector officials, members of the public, and other senior colleagues.
