About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated dentist to join our dynamic Special Care Dental Service at Solent NHS Trust. As a Senior Dental Officer, you will be responsible for delivering routine and urgent dental care to patients with complex medical needs, including those who require sedation or general anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake thorough examination of patients and provide a Dental Care Assessment.
- Plan and manage complex patient care, including emergency treatment and referrals to other professionals.
- Provide dental care to patients in wheelchairs, including bariatric patients, and use hoists as necessary.
- Identify and manage medical emergencies, including leading the dental team in first-line management.

Person Specification
- Current full Registration as Dental Surgeon with General Dental Council.
- Foundation (Vocational) Training / equivalence and current Performers List number.

- Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development and currency within GDC requirements.
