About the Role
We are seeking a talented Communications Systems Engineer to join our Future Products team at Airbus Defence and Space Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies and contribute to the development of world-beating solutions in the field of satellite communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of onboard payload processors, including simulation, analysis, and laboratory prototyping
- Assessment and management of supplier technology development through commercial and institutional programs
- Concept feasibility and generation of new ideas, influencing Airbus roadmaps and strategy
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong background in innovation and initiative, with experience in pursuing new ideas and investigating potential technologies
- Ability to raise the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of digital, photonics, or RF systems through software, firmware, or hardware development
- Experience in terrestrial or space communications systems engineering or networking, such as radio access networks, 5G, or 6G
