Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an experienced Education Support Worker to join our team at a rapidly expanding SEN college near Holton Heath, Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of students with complex and additional needs.

  • Working collaboratively with class teachers and senior LSAs to develop and deliver personalized learning plans.
  • Providing one-to-one support to students, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Student Support and Behavioural Support Leads to promote social and emotional wellbeing among students.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of accurate records, using technology and digital tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and autonomy among students.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in SEN education.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to share information and collaborate on student progress.
  • Embracing a person-centred approach, focusing on the unique strengths, needs, and aspirations of each student.
  • Ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of students.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Participating in performance reviews and goal-setting discussions to drive personal and professional growth.
  • Pursuing opportunities for further education and training, enhancing expertise and contributing to the evolution of the SEN sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek an experienced and compassionate Education Support Worker who can build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is essential. You should demonstrate a deep understanding of SEN principles and practices, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality education and support.

A driving licence is preferred, but not required, as there may be opportunities to carpool with other colleagues.
