Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our client on a fixed-term contract (12-18 months) in Renfrewshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to shape the future of the workforce by developing and implementing learning strategies that align with the company's next phase of growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in:

  • Redesigning and reviewing performance review processes for staff and industrial employees.
  • Partnering with business leaders to identify technical training needs and source suitable training providers.
  • Collaborating with HR to ensure comprehensive role profiles are in place for performance measurement.
  • SUPPORTING CAREER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH A ROBUST SUCCESSION PLANNING PROCESS.
  • Managing online learning provision, ensuring modules are relevant and effective for all roles.
  • Establishing a competency framework aligned with accredited professional bodies.
  • Working with the Apprenticeship Manager to manage and develop future talent.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Specialist with strong knowledge of learning and development methods and tools, including e-learning platforms.
  • Manufacturing or Engineering experience.
  • Experience in rolling out L&D strategies.
  • Proficiency in competency frameworks, leadership development and succession planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organisation.
What We Offer
