Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV driver to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting consignments to and from customer premises on time and in full.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a van, rigid or artic to deliver and collect product to/from the end customer as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles in your area of responsibility are in a safe, clean and presentable condition.
  • As the face of Kuehne+Nagel with our customers and the general public, maintain professional standards at all times while carrying out tasks to maintain the good repute of the company.
  • Scan all consignments on and off your vehicle and provide POD and POC using a hand held terminal.
  • Complete your duties in accordance with the department's procedures and processes.
  • Comply with civil law and the Highway Code when driving the company's vehicles on the roads.
  • Ensure that all vehicles under your control, prior to departure, are correctly loaded and that the load is secured. Periodic checks are to be made during the course of the journey.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out appropriate to the type of vehicle and usage.
  • Be responsible for the security of the vehicle and its load.

Requirements

  • Customer delivery experience is preferable.
  • Current or previous association with the Military may be advantageous.
  • Essential to hold a Valid Category B, C+E Driving licence.
  • Preferable to hold a Valid ADR Training Certificate - Categories 1-9 excluding 7 but with 7x accepted packages.
  • Share enthusiasm for our business and the importance of the role to the end Customer & maintain a respectful attitude.
  • Basic Maths & English skills.
