The RoleThe Deputy Director Legal and Democratic Services is a key role within our Senior Leadership Team. As the Council's lead officer for Legal and Assurance, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for our Legal and Democratic services, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities- Provide regulatory advice to the Chief Executive and Director of Legal and Democratic Services and Monitoring Officer.
- Manage the relationship with the Information Commissioner's Office.
- Establish and lead an Information Governance Board.
- Lead the Information Assurance function within the Council to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
