Job Title: Transaction Analyst

Join the British Business Bank as a Transaction Analyst and play a key role in supporting the execution of the Guarantee & Wholesale suite of products. This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain a unique view of the SME market through the lens of the UK Government's development bank.

About the Role

As a Transaction Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of transactions that directly support lending to UK SMEs. You will work closely with SME lender counterparties, legal and accounting advisors, and internal risk and operations teams to develop strong working relationships and gain a strong grounding in debt capital markets transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction due diligence and execution, including pricing and term negotiation, financial modelling, and review of legal documentation
  • Financial analysis of lender counterparties and their SME credit portfolios
  • Writing and presenting credit proposals for senior committee members and supporting internal approval processes
  • Undertaking market and regulatory research

Requirements

We are looking for a recent university graduate in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience. You will need to demonstrate excellent quantitative and analytical skills, excellent written and spoken communication abilities, and the ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
