Job Title: Head of Legal Practice

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal Practice to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall compliance with the terms and conditions of our CLC authorisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain all internal compliance policies and the overall Compliance Plan, incorporating any changes into the firm's procedures.
  • Responsible for effectively disseminating such procedures on a firm-wide basis.
  • Keep abreast of all regulatory and other compliance changes, training staff on compliance and client-facing quality of service to ensure service levels are met.
  • Report directly to the firm's Head of Conveyancing and Directors on matters of compliance and internal policy creation, providing regular reports on the status of the firm's compliance arrangements.
  • Oversee and sign off all lead generation and service advertisements to ensure all relevant CLC marketing requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive, or licensed conveyancer with at least 6 years PQE, and have had at least two years in a compliance role working in a legal practice dealing with client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, firm-wide risk assessments, in-house regulatory training, and devising and implementing internal compliance failure reporting processes.
