Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Academic and Operations Officer to join Sja's West as an Academic and Operations Strategist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational areas and teams to contribute to the overall Urgent & Emergency Care Business Plan and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure delivery of effective patient-focused clinical services
  • Provide visible, compassionate leadership and coaching to front-line staff
  • Act as a visible and credible leader, motivating and inspiring staff

The role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to maintain high standards at operational locations, forecast changes in operational requirements, and improve overall operational performance in Ambulance stations.

Reporting and Representation Duties:
  • Create contract and performance reports
  • Represent St John Ambulance at external stakeholder opportunities

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality, well-led, patient-centred ambulance services, and will inspire excellence and commitment in the team.
