HGV Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries to businesses and private addresses around the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
• Planning route on a day-to-day basis.
• Working closely with the network hubs.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
• Attending regular training sessions.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold either a UK Class 1 CE or Class 2 C Licence.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of curtain sider trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Working to deadlines.
• Confident, polite and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

• Salary for HGV Driver between £34,000 - £39,000 per annum and more depending on hours worked.
