About the Role

The University of Leicester is seeking a talented statistician to join its established research team and contribute to a programme of work led by Prof Pratik Choudhary around type 1 diabetes and technology. The appointed individual will contribute to the real-world evidence for decisions in diabetes (REDDIE) project, running novel analyses on large real-world datasets, including the National Diabetes Audit. Opportunities exist to collaborate with European partners and contribute to ongoing projects in type 1 diabetes and technology.

Your Responsibilities

About You

We welcome applications from individuals with various backgrounds/expertise relevant to the topic area, including medical statistics, biostatistics, and epidemiology. A PhD in a relevant discipline and evidence of contributing independently to experimental or translational research studies and peer-reviewed journal publications are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team are essential.

The appointed individual will be based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, which is internationally recognised for its research in the prevention and management of diabetes and other long-term conditions.
