Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Responsible for the cleaning of equipment, maintenance of linen, laundry, and provision of supplies within the clinical area.
- Undertake associated clerical and patient-centered duties as delegated by the registered nurse/midwife.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the unit's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
