About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and treatment to our service users with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise and collaborate with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures to meet statutory requirements.
  • Implement the Mental Health Act and liaise with the Ministry of Justice as necessary.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and partnership working to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, ensuring NHSE contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain professional registration with the GMC and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
  • Hold Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care.
  • Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.
  • Experience in General Adult settings and working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings, and risk assessment and risk management.
