We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Project Coordinator to join our team at Essential Employment in Belfast. This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis, with an estimated salary of £19,350 per annum based on 35 hours of work per week.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Civil Engineering Officer in providing civil engineering services to agreed quality, time, and budget targets. This includes prioritizing and timetabling project work, supervising small works civil engineering tenders, and contributing to corporate working groups as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Civil Engineering Support: Assist the Senior Civil Engineering Officer in delivering the civil engineering function within the Parks and Leisure department, ensuring all work is completed to agreed standards.
  • Project Management: Assist with planning, prioritizing, and timetabling annual projects, including preparing tender documents and supervising the work.
  • Tender Supervision: Ensure that all small works civil engineering tenders are completed to agreed quality, time, and budget targets.
  • Specialist Advice: Provide specialist civil engineering knowledge and advice to other client sections and departments as required.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Project Coordination Experience: Proven experience in coordinating civil engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, and supervision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
