Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled Chef/Cook to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation, cooking, and delivery of food and beverages to patients, consultants, and staff.
  • Prepare and cook food items to the specified standard, ensuring exceptional presentation and service.
  • Maintain adequate control of all stock through stock rotation, date checking, and ensuring packaging is intact in the kitchen.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures in accordance with current legislation.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks and duties.
  • Ability to work across all days of the week between 07.00 and 18.00.

Requirements:

  • Relevant catering qualification or a willingness to gain one.
  • Experience working as a chef/cook in any setting is a key requirement.
  • Experience in corporate catering would be of benefit but not a necessity.
  • A high level of social skills and a positive approach to customer care are essential elements of the job.
  • A degree of human understanding is essential in order to meet the needs of individual patients who may have specific dietary needs or preferences.
