About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational Catering Manager to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our food delivery services to improve patient care and staff wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams of staff at our main central cook chill food production facility, meal regeneration, and retail. You will also be responsible for introducing new technologies to transform our catering services and achieve efficiencies.

Key Requirements

  • Significant catering management experience within a large, complex organization
  • Food manufacturing, retail, and hospitality management experience
  • Change management experience and a proven track record in managing operational staff
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality management systems such as ISO9001:2015
  • Effective leadership skills, ability to communicate at all levels, and motivate others
  • In-depth knowledge of catering food service systems
  • Ability to undertake administrative tasks and IT literacy in all Microsoft packages
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety/food safety controls in the workplace
  • Specialist knowledge in manufacturing of specialist diets
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Diversity and inclusivity training and awareness
