An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in a leading care home service in the East Lothian area.

This care home provides nursing care for individuals with complex medical needs, as well as 24-hour nursing dementia care delivered by specialist teams trained in caring for those living with dementia and other long-term medical conditions.

To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

As a Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care and support to residents.
  • Developing and implementing well-structured care plans and risk assessments, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and resident records, utilizing modern technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Overseeing all aspects of medicine management on your shift, adhering to company policies and current legislation.
  • Making timely decisions and taking action to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members, utilizing your clinical skills to enhance their knowledge and expertise.
  • Supporting, guiding, teaching, and mentoring others in line with the NMC Code, adhering to its guidance at all times.

  • The ability to lead a team, analyze problems, and propose solutions or improvements.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT and communication systems required for the role.
  • Respect for the values, views, and needs of others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
  • Experience in delivering nursing care within the elderly healthcare sector.
  • Participation in quality and clinical governance programs.
