About the Role:
Recra Consulting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworking Craftsman to join our team. As a key member of our production unit, you will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality joinery products.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components to construct various joinery products such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production of joinery items.
- Operate hand tools and woodworking machinery with precision to fabricate and finish wooden components.
- Perform tasks such as planning, sanding, shaping, and fitting components to achieve desired finishes.
- Collaborate with team members, including designers and other craftsmen, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to best practices for woodworking and workshop safety.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in the development and improvement of joinery techniques and processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Woodworking Craftsman or similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and a passion for crafting high-quality joinery products.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and wood finishes.
- Certification or training in woodworking or joinery is a plus.
Salary:£40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
