About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Assistant Psychologist to join our newly formed Live Well Long-Term Medical Conditions Service at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering direct clinical services and supporting staff in delivering psychosocial approaches to long-term medical conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of the psychological aspects of the service, including service re-design, clinical delivery, and supporting staff in using psychological approaches.
  • Support the Consultant Psychologist and Practitioner Psychologist in the psychology of long-term medical conditions and help to report and disseminate information on approaches and outcomes.
Requirements
  • An upper second-class honours degree or higher in Psychology.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society.
