Job Title: Transport SAP Controller

24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Transport SAP Controller to join our client's team in Liverpool, Eastlands. As a key member of the Eastlands Freight team, you will be responsible for controlling the flow of EU/UK inbound vehicles, both direct and from the Staging Location.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Eastlands Freight team to manage the flow of EU/UK inbound vehicles.
  • Update SAP with Day 0 updates, including delays, cancellations, and NTCs for direct deliveries and B to C deliveries from the staging location.
  • Liaise with R&FU to prioritize deliveries during peak periods or when exceeding delivery parameters.
  • Chase updates from the EU/UK Ops team for late deliveries to the Staging Location.
  • Book additional slots for extra deliveries and cancel slots for collections not required.
  • Control and maintain dock slots as per the dock plan and operational requirements.
  • Maintain and coordinate deliveries into Halewood for both direct and B to C from the Staging Location.
  • Update SAP with DAY 0 amendments, including additional, cancellations, or any other amendments.
  • Create TU with Trailer ID and assign it to an appointment.
  • Identify, solve, and report operational inconsistencies, problems, and delays, and escalate to senior management when necessary.
Desirable Skills:
  • EU/UK Automotive operational experience.
  • SAP Awareness.
  • Good degree of computer literacy, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Technical aptitude in the use of various supporting software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong and effective organizational skills.
  • Able to demonstrate previous examples of solution innovation.
  • Demonstrable experience of a high standard of commercial awareness and understanding of key costs and drivers within the supply chain.
Working Arrangements:

The role requires flexibility, with a shift pattern of 1st week 06:00 - 14:00 and 2nd week 14:00 - 22:00. In-house training would be offered, with initial training in Birmingham, and candidates would need to be available to travel for training purposes.
