Electrical Engineer Job Description

BMT Group is a leading engineering consultancy that tackles complex challenges in the maritime and environmental sectors. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of innovative engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for new marine platforms, life extension programs, and in-service solutions.
  • Provide technical advice on the integration of electrical systems and equipment within ships, submarines, and other marine platforms.
  • Support electrical engineering projects across various technical consultancy projects, including maritime, land, and environmental sectors.
  • Manage electrical engineering projects and provide ad-hoc assistance to broader mechanical and marine engineering projects.
Requirements:
  • Electrical or Integrated Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work on a range of projects, across customer sites, and using a breadth of technical skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrable electrical experience in the maritime or environmental sectors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead technical projects to time, cost, and quality.
  • Understanding of electrical regulation and legislation, as well as project management principles.
