Exciting Opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician

New Resource Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading food manufacturing business in Dorset to find a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise contractors, working closely with the Facilities Manager and the Engineering team.
  • Plan and deliver both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain and repair facilities equipment while adhering to GMP standards and safety protocols.
  • Assist in delivering engineering projects and help drive innovation and improvements in the department.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately using the company's systems (Epicor).
  • Support procurement by assisting with parts and materials and help manage the engineering inventory.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in building maintenance or an engineering discipline, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT literacy and strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and contractors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GMP/BRC standards (experience in food manufacturing preferred).
  • Advantageous: Experience managing contractors and qualifications such as IOSH.
