As an Area Sales Manager based in the United Kingdom, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the sales of NORIT products within the Northern UK and Ireland territory. Your performance will directly impact the achievement of sales and profit metrics set by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales territory in the Northern part of UK and Ireland and sell Norit products, generating target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from customer base.
  • Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results.
  • Drive both current and future value for Norit by building a shared understanding of the individual customer and overall portfolio profitability.
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate complex sales contracts with customers.
  • Identify new market opportunities and target builds.
  • Lead Norit's efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and distributor management and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years external sales experience.
  • Previous experience of selling activated carbon is desirable.
  • Bachelor's science degree.
  • Technical Excellence - knowledgeable about Norit's technical capabilities and applications.
  • Commercial Skills - knowledgeable about markets and applications where Norit's products add value.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills - ability to effectively engage in verbal and written communications.
  • Customer Relationship Management - establish and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Business Savvy - knowledgeable about functional elements important for business profitability.
  • New Opportunity Advancement - ability to utilize knowledge of Norit's capabilities to develop, recognize, and advance opportunities.
