Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dental Hygiene Assistant. The successful candidate will provide assistance and supervision to student and faculty teams in the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and the general public in areas of Infection Prevention and Control, Medical Reprocessing, and dental radiography.
  • Adhere to and implement PHIPA policies.
  • Assist with rare medical emergencies when they arise.
  • Provide dental assisting services, including assisting with dental procedures and maintaining dental equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the student and faculty teams to ensure program and clinic success.

Requirements:

  • Dental Assisting certificate required.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA).
  • Recent Sterile Processing or Medical Device Reprocessing experience.
  • Successful completion of (or enrolled in) a Sterile Processing Certificate preferred.
  • Successful completion of (or enrolled in) a Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CSA) certificate preferred.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
