Supply Chain Inventory Planner

Werfen is a leading developer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialized diagnostic instruments. Our business lines include Hemostasis, Acute Care, and Autoimmunity diagnostics.
We are seeking a skilled Demand Planner I to join our team. As a Demand Planner, you will play a key role in planning and controlling inventory levels for finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales forecasts and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock positioning.
- Develop and maintain inputs to computerized inventory management systems.
- Coordinate shipments with strategic partners, including drop shipments and lot management.
- Monitor forecast and safety stock levels, and adjust accordingly.
- Review stocking orders with strategic partners for product availability and scheduled ship dates.
- Allocate shelf life products for shipment to ensure compliance with contract minimum dating requirements.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of working knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures, material planning, and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with demand planning and the sales and operations planning process in a mixed distribution and direct-to-customer environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with products controlled by shelf life.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in similar/preparatory work required.
- Previous experience with computerized inventory and distribution management systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency with computers, including spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 based on location and industry standards.
