We are seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our M&E Engineering Team at Parkinson Gray Associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Mechanical Engineers and acting as the Responsible Engineer on MEP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers and act as the Responsible Engineer on MEP projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed to meet all client requirements and applicable standards and to the agreed project programme.
  • Ensure projects are completed to the agreed budget.
  • Plan the project works and provide forward view resource forecasting to enable the team leader to allocate suitable resource to the projects.
  • Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the Project Management Team.
  • Provide monthly cost to complete forecasts to the Project Management Team.
  • Ensure the training and development needs of the mechanical team are met to serve the clients'/projects requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of mechanical services design within the built environment or transport infrastructure including HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics and BIM.
  • Detailed knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and building services.
  • Management of a team of Mechanical engineers on allocated projects.
