About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter at Kinross Golf Club. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen environment is clean, organised, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking.
• Help to keep kitchen equipment and utensils in good working order through regular cleaning and maintenance.
• Support the cooking staff during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the kitchen environment.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and assist with recycling efforts to maintain an eco-friendly workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during service times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary role is advantageous but not essential.
• A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A passion for food preparation and an interest in developing culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position available.
• Estimated salary: £11.44 per hour.
• Expected hours: 25-30 per week.
