About the Role

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Volunteering Development Lead to join our team. Job Overview

This is a key role within the trust that requires a strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices. The successful candidate will lead on the development and implementation of the trust's volunteering strategy, ensuring that it aligns with our overall goals and objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteering strategy that meets the needs of patients, staff, and the community.
  • Lead on the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers across the trust.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for volunteering and develop new roles that meet the needs of patients and staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteering services and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as volunteer management, social care, or a related field.
  • Experience of working with volunteers and managing volunteer programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices.
