We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join our valued client in Dorchester, Dorset. Our client is a long-established and directly authorised firm with a strong reputation for providing excellent support to their financial advisers.

Key Benefits
  • Employed salary of £30,000 to £40,000 PA, subject to experience and interview performance, with an employed OTE starting at £65,000 PA and 15% commission on all written business.
  • Self-employed route with 50%/50% splits on existing clients and 60%/40% splits on new business, with the option to pay retainers in advance to support an employed to self-employed transition.
  • 29 days of holiday per year, including Bank Holidays and your Birthday off, rising to 33 days (long service).
  • Office hours of 0900hrs to 1730hrs (Monday to Thursday) with a 1600hrs finish on Fridays.

  • Paid mileage (employed) at 25p per mile.

Requirements
  • Either an experienced IFA looking for a self-employed/Director opportunity or a more junior IFA looking for an employed opportunity.
  • Suitably qualified with either DipPFS (CII) or DipFA (LIBF) qualifications, with supporting qualifications such as CeMAP/Cert CII(MP), CeRER/Cert CII (ER) etc highly valued.
  • A Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and listed on The Financial Services Register.
  • Extensive experience working as a financial adviser with a proven record of sales/business success, with the ability to bring a network of new clients, inherit a slew of already pre-gained clients and gain new leads.
  • A strong negotiator with excellent presentation/communication skills, highly accurate, numerate and IT literate with the ability to analyse and problem solve.
  • Ethical and values integrity/professional standards, keeping abreast of new financial products, industry trends and fund research.
  • An excellent multitasker with capacity for a broad workload, a team player willing to 'muck in' and work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders.
