About the Role:

Our client, a leading provider of medical products and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join their team in Slough on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop mechanical systems and products using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Inventor.
  2. Lead a small team of engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
  3. Liaise with manufacturing providers and ensure that products meet regulatory requirements.
  4. Be involved in the final assembly of products and ensure that they meet quality standards.
  5. Create technical documentation and project reports.
  6. Update 3D models and drawings.
  7. Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs.
  8. Check drawings for sign off.
Requirements:
  1. At least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
  2. Experience working with medical devices or in a related industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding.
  4. Experience leading teams and managing projects.
  5. Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar.
  6. Excellent mathematical ability and knowledge of mechanisms.
  7. Proficient using 3D CAD software.
  8. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances.
  9. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
