About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at D&R Recruitment Limited. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing mortgage applications and ensuring that they meet our lending criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess mortgage applications to ensure they meet our lending criteria and are accurately processed.
  • Interpret credit data and assess portfolio landlords in accordance with current regulations and guidelines.
  • Effectively manage your own pipeline and prioritize tasks to meet service standards.
  • Provide training and knowledge to colleagues as required and take ownership of complex cases.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient progression of applications and provide timely and accurate responses to enquiries.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year underwriting experience within the Buy to Let market or equivalent experience in residential or commercial markets.
  • Previous experience within Specialist Lending, including Limited Companies, Portfolio Landlords, Ex-Pats, Holiday Lets, HMOs, and Multi-Unit Properties.
  • Strong analytical skills, logical approach to problem-solving, and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
