We are seeking experienced youth support workers to provide care and support to young people in a residential setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping young people develop their life skills and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with our team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for young people.
- Handle challenging situations with calm and measured approach, ensuring the well-being and safety of all individuals.
- Use your personality and skills to engage with young people, promoting their emotional and social development.
- Provide emotional support and guidance as needed, helping young people to build resilience and confidence.
- Participate in activities and hobbies with young people, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Work a flexible schedule, including up to 3 shifts per week, with varying shift times between 08:30 and 22:00.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in residential childcare.
- Minimum 3 months of referenceable experience working in a residential childcare setting.
- Valid mandatory training documents, including safeguarding of vulnerable children.
- Enhanced DBS certificate, dated within the past 3 months or registered on the update service.
Competitive hourly rate of £12.00-£12.50, dependent on hours worked. We also offer the opportunity to gain permanent employment for those who excel in their role.
